A card that survives a rebrand
The logo, the deck, the domain — all of it can change without a second run. The card stays the same object; only the page it points to moves.

Why this one works
The usual business card locks in a job title, a phone number and a logo the day it comes off the press. Six months later half of that is wrong, and the fix is a new order, a new box, and every card already handed out still saying the old thing.
A Dote card carries none of that risk, because the card itself never holds the information — it holds a chip that points at a page. Update the page and every card already in a stranger's wallet is current again, including the one you handed out a year ago.
One design, made once, does the job the whole stack used to do — and at $42.00 a card in a set of 10 ($420.00 total), it costs about what the stack did.
Most people order theirs in Metal — black stainless steel, engraved rather than printed, which is a large part of why anybody keeps a business card at all instead of binning it with the rest. It carries a name and a title, not a photograph. White prints in full color instead, from $30 a card, if a photograph or a color logo matters more to you than the metal. Every finish, side by side.
How it works
Your LinkedIn, your site, a booking page, a one-line contact form — anywhere you would normally paste a URL into an email signature.
Name, title, company. No photo required — the Minimal and Color block layouts are built for exactly that, and Mark keeps room for a small logo if you want one.
They hold a phone near it and the link opens — nothing to install, nothing to explain. Change the destination whenever you need to, from the private link we email you at checkout.
Good for
The logo, the deck, the domain — all of it can change without a second run. The card stays the same object; only the page it points to moves.
Order the set at the team rate and we point each card at its own person — no more ordering a fresh box every time someone joins.
Point it at your latest work instead of whatever was live the day the cards were made — update it the morning of the meeting if you need to.
No app for anyone to install at a booth, and no QR code lost in bad lighting — a tap works in a handshake's worth of time.

Ordering for a team with individual links? Email [email protected] and we will set each card up separately.
Before you order
Anything with a URL — your LinkedIn, a contact page, a portfolio, a booking link, a menu, a one-page site you already have. Whatever you would otherwise put in an email signature.
Either. Point it at a link if you already have one place to send people, or skip the URL entirely and make the card a contact page instead: your phone, email, website and every social, each one a tap to use, plus a button that saves you straight into their phone. Switch between the two any time from the card’s own settings — nothing to redo.
Yes, any time, for free. Your order email helps you sign in to your Dote account, where you can change the URL. Change jobs, change your handle, launch a new site: the card in someone’s wallet points at the new thing without being reprinted.
No. Every iPhone since 2018 and virtually every Android opens the link with a tap. The person tapping needs no app or account. You use a free Dote account to manage the card and update its destination.
However many people are on it — there is no minimum and no box size to round up to. In Metal, 10+ cards work out at $42.00 each ($420.00 for 10), dropping to $38.00 each right at the 25-card self-serve cap, and the rate is set by the total across everyone's cards, not per person. Orders check out directly up to 25 cards; a bigger team is a quote away, priced at the same rate.
Yes. Order the set, then email [email protected] with each name and link and we will set the cards up individually rather than pointing all of them at one page.
No — most business cards do not have one, and the Minimal and Color block layouts are built with that in mind: no photo step, just your name, title and company. Mark keeps a small logo corner if you want one; a headshot needs White, since Metal is engraved and only holds type and line art.
A QR code needs a camera app pointed at it and good light. NFC is a tap, works in a dim room or a handshake’s worth of time, and does not visibly change the card the way a printed square does — the card just looks like a card.
Cards are made by hand and shipped within 24 hours. Order this week, hand them out next week.
